Will hot weather return in August? Meet Eren’s predictions for the next 30 days

The good weather in early July now seems like a distant memory as conditions are expected to remain humid and cool at the beginning of August.

Unfortunately, the heat wave that occurred earlier this month will not be present anywhere this bank can be seen weekend, with a lot of rain and clouds expected to spread across the country.

The reopening of indoor dining has proven to be timely as August seems to bring plenty of rain and unsettled weather.

Here are the Met Eireann’s monthly forecasts for August:

Monday August 2 – Sunday August 8

Changing and unstable conditions are expected in the first week of August as the low pressure group becomes dominant.

Precipitation is expected to be higher than normal this week in almost all regions, except for the extreme northeast, where conditions will be drier than average.

The south and east will receive the worst rainfall this week, with temperatures close to average or slightly cooler.

Monday August 9 – Sunday August 15

Low pressure will continue to affect the weather for most of the second week of the month.

However, the signal does indicate high pressure on southern and central Europe, which could affect the weather in Ireland allowing some periods of drought.

Conditions are likely to be variable but less stable than the first week.

Precipitation will be slightly above average, and temperatures will be normal for that time of year.

Monday 16 August – Sunday 22 August

Met Eireann said there is no strong indication for a high or low pressure to be dominant during week 3.

However, the weather is likely to be choppy and unstable again at times.

Above average rainfall is again expected for the majority of the country.

Temperatures will be normal or slightly above average.

Monday 23 August – Sunday 29 August

There is no indication as to whether there will be high or low pressure on Ireland during the fourth week of August.

Unfortunately, the good weather appears to be over for summer as higher-than-normal precipitation is once again expected, with average temperatures likely.
