The most coveted prize in Irish Lotto history is still being grabbed after a grand prize draw of €19m on Saturday night saw no winner.
Saturday night’s drawing was the 17th time players had the chance to cash in on additional prize money rolling to the next higher level with a winner of the €19.06 million jackpot.
More than 166,000 players from across Ireland won prizes at the Lotto and Lotto Plus games Saturday night, including two players from Clare and Donegal, who took part in a Match 5 + Bonus prize pool of €914,160 – €457,080 each.
Since no additional money was added to the higher-ceilinged Lotto Grand Prix, the money that would normally go to the Grand Prix was instead distributed to the next prize category there was a winner and in last night’s drawing, this was the Match 5 + Bonus category.
The National Lottery urges players at Ennis in Co Clare and Ballyshannon in Co Donegal to check their tickets carefully.
The Ennis player purchased the winning Quick Pick ticket on raffle day at the Tesco store in the Ennis Shopping Center, while the Donegal winner picked his own numbers in the Regular Play Pick on Thursday, November 25 at the Kernan Spar store in Ballyshannon in Co Donegal.
The winning numbers in Saturday’s lottery were: 01, 05, 15, 23, 39, 47 and the bonus was: 30.
The biggest winners are advised to sign the back of their tickets and keep safe. They should contact the Prize Claims Team at 1800666222 or send an email to [email protected] and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.
Since the Lotto jackpot hit €19,060,800 on Wednesday September 29 and the cap came into effect on Saturday October 2, 183 Lotto players across the country have now benefited from the prize distribution to the tune of around €15 million.
During the last 17 lotto draws, players in the Match 5 + Bonus and Match 5 categories have enjoyed boosted prize money due to the jackpot cap.
