Two women are threatened by a man with a knife in a horrific store robbery in Co Down.
The accident occurred in the border town of Warren Point at about 6:30 p.m. Friday.
A man entered the store with a knife and asked for money from two women who worked in the store.
PSNI Detective Sgt. David Stewart said: «We received a report of a store robbery in the Duke Street area of the city around 6.30pm.
The store was empty when the suspect entered through an open door, brandishing a knife and shouting that he wanted money.
Two women were working in the store at the time.
One of them handed him money while he continued to threaten her with a knife.
Then he fled the building.
«While the two women were not physically harmed during the accident, it was a frightening experience for both of them.»
The suspect was described as being 5’11 inches tall, slim build, and was wearing a gray jacket, black track pants and a high hat.
He was also carrying a black knife that was three to four inches long.
Officers are now appealing to anyone with information about the incident, or who was in the area at the time, to come forward.
